I recently had the privilege to work with Katie for my wedding in December. From start to finish she had a professional yet personal approach to our ceremony which was exactly what we were looking for. For us it was incredibly important to find someone that would get to know us and build something bespoke to our passions and interests – This is exactly what Katie did.

Our ceremony was perfect for us, built together and not some off the shelf script. If you are looking for a ceremony that is made up of you and your partner from start to finish, combined with a creative flare only Katie can deliver you will not be disappointed.

Step by step to happily ever after …

#1 Are we right for each other?

Choosing the right celebrant is one of the most important factors in creating the wedding ceremony that you are dreaming of. It’s really important that you both feel comfortable with the person who is officiating your marriage, so I suggest we meet for a coffee or glass of bubbles at my home in Perth to see if we click. Not a Perth local? Then lets video call.

#2 Lock in a Date

Feel like we made a connection? Then let’s lock it in. A non-refundable booking fee is paid to save your date. The remainder of my fees are due one month before the secured date of your wedding.

#3 Notice of Intended Marriage

Sometime between one and six months before your wedding we will get together to complete your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM). This will also give us an opportunity to discuss the details of your ceremony. I will ask before this meeting that you both complete a short questionnaire. This will give me a really clear insight into who you both are, and about your special relationship.

#4 Creating your Ceremony

In the month following our meeting I will start creating your uniquely special wedding ceremony. I will share a first draft with you over email which you will feedback on. We repeat this back and forth until everyone agrees that it’s absolutely perfect. I will be available to you for as many drafts and tweaks as we need to get this just right.

#5 Rehearsal

The few days leading up to the big day can be full of nerves and a rehearsal is a brilliant way to calm those wedding jitters. I strongly recommend doing this with the full Bridal Party if they are available. We will walk step by step through your ceremony which should take about 30 minutes. This is often done on one of the evenings leading up to the day. Don’t under estimate how fun this can be!

#6 The Wedding Day

I will arrive at your ceremony location around an hour early to check the sound system and to smooth out any last minute hiccups. This will also give me a chance to meet the photographers, videographers, musicians, and venue managers. Before the ceremony starts I always come and say hello to ensure you are both cool, calm and collected before ensuring all of your guests are in place and ready for the ceremony to commence. Its required by law that you have two witnesses over 18 to sign your legal certificates.

#7 After the Wedding

Following your wedding day I will submit all legal paperwork to Birth, Deaths and Marriages to legally register your marriage. This may take a few weeks to process. You can apply for your official printed marriage certificate from Births, Deaths and Marriages within your state for an additional fee. This certificate will allow you to change names or provide for proof of marriage.
